On Monday, June 19, 2023, Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) trustees approved a budget comprising $848M in expenditures, with a capital budget of $95.6M for the 2023-24 school year.
The development of the Waterloo Region District School Board’s operating budget includes many underlying assumptions which, over the course of a school year, can change. The process used in the development of the annual operating budget for the board has evolved over the years but the underlying factors that influence its development continue to be:
